Ayesha Omer Career

Career In Aacting

In 2009

Ayesha Omar debuted her acting on the PTV drama College Jeans. She then starred in Geo TV’s drama serial Dolly Ki Ayegi Baraat alongside seasoned stars such as Jawed Sheikh, Saba Hameed, and Bushra Ansari. She has starred alongside actor Nabeel on the hit sitcom Bulbulay as Khoobsurat since 2009. Bulbulay became Pakistan’s most-watched sitcom. Following Bulbulay’s success, Omar garnered significant media attention and established himself as a household name. Right now, ARY Digital is carrying its second season.

In 2012

Omar later starred opposite Amanat Ali in PTV serial Dil Ko Manana Aya Nahi and Geo TV’s drama serial Ladies Park with Humayun Saeed, Azfar Rehman, Hina Dilpazeer, and Mahnoor Baloch. She appeared on the popular romantic-drama show Zindagi Gulzar Hai on Hum TV in 2012. She portrayed Sara, a girl with a gray complexion. She was the on-screen sister of Fawad Khan in the show.

In an interview with News International, she stated, “I’ve known Fawad since I was in college.” We belonged to the same underground music scene in Lahore; he was with EP, and I was with my college band. We spent some wonderful times together and practically grew up side by side. He has always been exceptionally talented and charming. I didn’t mind portraying his sister, but I can never see him “that way.”

In 2013

She starred as Arzoo, the main enemy in Tanhai on Hum TV 2013. The program turned out well. She also appeared on Geo Kahani’s program Soha or Savera and Woh Chaar on Hum TV. Twenty-four Apart from television, she sang item songs in commercially successful Pakistani films Love Mein Ghum and Main Hoon Shahid Afridi. Omar entered the film business in the lead role of Wajahat Rauf’s road drama film Karachi Se Lahore, in which she acted with Shehzad Sheikh after rising to be an established actress on Pakistani television.

Ayesha Omar gave an interview to Aamna Haider Isani.

Critics had conflicting opinions of the movie upon release. The Express Tribune questioned Omar’s performance in the film. It said: “There was barely anything for Ayesha Omar in the script, which is why her performance doesn’t get recognized more than a female wearing a revealing top in a Jeep swamped with guys. Her item number, Tutti Fruity, could have been more stable-erratic and not worth the buzz. Despite its lack of critical acceptance, Karachi Se Lahore achieved a total income of 10 crore (US$1.0 million) globally, making it a box office success.

In 2017

After signing several films, Omar performed in television dramas and sporadically appeared on Mr. Shamim and Kitni Girhain Baaki Hain 2. She starred Zarmina in Yalghaar, her next movie, which came out in 2017. Dawn.com describes her character as “her duty, if any, to grieve continually and have Tor Jan mumble philosophical sayings into her ear.”

Among the most expensive Pakistani films ever produced, Yalghaar’s cost of waterproof makeup on Ayesha Omar’s ashen face combined with an unceasing flow of false tears has undoubtedly paid its fair part. Though Shaan, Humayun Saeed, and Adnan Siddiqui, among others, had an ensemble cast, the movie did not score highly at the box office. It brought around a total income of $200 million (US$1.9 million), which was disappointing about its hefty expenditure.

In 2018

Omar appeared in the June 2018 film Saat Din Mohabbat In with Sheheryar Munawar. In a news release, Omar said, “I said yes to the movie as soon as I read the script. The film’s concept completely captivated me, as it offers a comprehensive entertainment experience with a touch of romance and comedy. The movie performed exceptionally well at the box office.

In 2019

Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar directed her in the romantic drama Kaaf Kangana in 2019, where she played a supporting role. Though brief in screen time, Haiya Bokhari of Dawn.com observed, “Omar’s role offers some relief, both artistically opposed to the awful styling displayed in the rest of the film and in terms of acting and conversation. Her inherent effervescence helps ease weary eyes. The movie ended up being a box office disaster.
