Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif met United States Secretary of State Marco Rubio on the sidelines of the Board of Peace Leaders meeting in Washington today
He was accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar
The Prime Minister congratulated President Donald Trump and Secretary Rubio on the successful first meeting of the Board of Peace and said Pakistan was ready to work closely on the Gaza Peace Plan
Both sides highlighted the strong Pakistan US relationship and showed satisfaction with the positive direction of ties under President Trump
They agreed to boost trade economic cooperation and joint efforts against terrorism
The Prime Minister stressed the need for continued high level engagement between Pakistan and the United States to achieve shared goals in a changing global environment
