S A Noory is a contemporary Pakistani visual artist whose work explores the spiritual essence of Sufism through expressive watercolor and acrylic paintings His artistic practice draws inspiration from mysticism culture spirituality inner contemplation and the universal human search for peace Noory developed an interest in drawing during childhood and recalls filling the last pages of his school notebooks with sketches His artistic talent became publicly recognised while he was in Grade 7 when he participated in an art competition organised by UNICEF at the Arts Council Karachi
