Asjad Iqbal produced one of the finest performances of his international career at the IBSF World Cup of Snooker in Muscat, Oman, in November 2025. He reached the singles final before losing 5–2 to England’s Harvey Chandler. His run earned him the silver medal.

In the quarterfinals of the 2025 IBSF World Cup, Iqbal delivered an outstanding performance against India’s multiple-time world champion Pankaj Advani, winning 4–0. He subsequently defeated France’s Nicolas Mortreux 5–2 in the semifinal to reach the final.

Iqbal produced a spectacular 142 break during the 2025 World Cup, making it the highest break of the tournament. The clearance came during his group-stage victory over Malaysia’s Lim Kok Leong.

Only days after his singles silver medal, Iqbal partnered with Muhammad Asif to win the IBSF World Cup Team title for Pakistan. The Pakistani pair defeated Hong Kong 2 by 3–2 in the final in Muscat.

At the 2025 IBSF World Championship in Doha, Qatar, Iqbal reached the quarterfinal stage. He defeated Chau Hon Man 4–1 in the last 16 before losing 4–1 to England’s Harvey Chandler in the quarterfinals.

After winning the 2024 National Snooker Championship, Iqbal entered the 49th NBP National Snooker Championship in January 2025 as the defending champion. National Bank confirmed his status as the reigning national champion at the start of the event.
