From Darkness to Distinction: Irfan Ulhaq’s Extraordinary Rise in Cricket
Mr. Irfan Ulhaq is a remarkable example of resilience and determination. In 2022, he endured unimaginable hardship, being held in underground cells for six months due to inheritance-related issues. Despite this traumatic experience, he refused to let adversity define his future.
After regaining his freedom, Irfan turned to cricket as a source of strength and purpose. With unwavering focus, he completed his UK Level 3 Cricket Coaching qualification in 2024. From that point onward, his journey has been nothing short of inspirational.
Recognizing his dedication and expertise, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) appointed him as a selector for U15, U17, and U19 teams in District Kotli, Azad Kashmir, along with serving as Head Coach for the senior district team. His commitment and professionalism further earned him the role of Assistant Coach for the Hanif Mohammad Trophy 2025–2026 season representing the AJK region.
