Pakistan is gearing up for Kashmir Solidarity Day, observed nationally each year on February 5 to reaffirm support and unity with the people of the disputed Jammu and Kashmir region. The annual holiday sees rallies, public speeches, and solidarity marches across major cities, including Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi and Rawalpindi. Citizens, students, activists and political groups typically take part in peaceful demonstrations, flag displays and community gatherings to highlight human rights concerns and advocate for Kashmiri aspirations. Government officials often issue statements underscoring Pakistan’s continued diplomatic and moral support for the people of Kashmir. Schools, offices and businesses traditionally mark the day with slogans, cultural programs and educational activities that reflect on the history and significance of the longstanding conflict.
