Fawad Khan was born in Karachi on November 29, 1981, in Sindh. He was from a Pashtun household. While his mother’s family was a native of Lucknow (present-day Uttar Pradesh, India), who migrated to Pakistan following the 1947 split of British India, his father was born in Patiala (present-day Punjab, India).
