
Engr. Faiz Ullah Khattak is a Chartered Project Director with the Pakistan Airports Authority, currently leading the New Gwadar International Airport project — one of Pakistan’s flagship China-Pakistan collaborative infrastructure ventures. With over 19 years in public-sector engineering, he has directed the development and rehabilitation of major airports across Lahore, Faisalabad, Karachi, and Islamabad.
Engr Faiz Ullah Khattak successfully completed the first Project Director’s Certification Course jointly conducted by the National Defence University and the Pakistan Engineering Council in 2026 He graduated with Distinction and became part of the inaugural cohort of Chartered Project Directors
He continues to serve as Project Director for the New Gwadar International Airport Project overseeing project execution coordination and progress toward completion while working closely with the Chinese project team
Alongside his responsibilities at Gwadar Engr Khattak is serving with additional charge for project and infrastructure responsibilities at the Aviation Complex Islamabad
He coordinated an official National Defence University delegation visit to a Pakistan Airports Authority facility The programme included structured airside exposure covering the Area Control Centre the ATC Tower and the Rescue and Fire Fighting Service station
Engr Khattak developed a browser based assessment tool for an AI certification workshop at NDU The tool incorporated automated scoring and personalised results demonstrating his interest in applying digital technology to professional education and assessment
He received a Performance Award from the Minister of Defence for meritorious performance associated with the New Gwadar International Airport Project
